NATROX® Wound Care Expands Clinical Team to Meet Growing Demand While Prioritizing Patient-Centered Care

[30 June 2023 – Cambridge, UK] – NATROX® Wound Care, a leader in advanced wound care technology for the treatment of chronic wounds, has hired two new clinical experts as part of its rapid, international expansion. Dr. Emma Woodmansey was named Global Clinical Director and Lisa Thomas, Registered Nurse (RN) will serve as Clinical Specialist, EMEA.

Woodmansey will assume the responsibility of formulating and implementing the company’s clinical strategy. She’ll also contribute to new product design, risk assessments, and instructions-for-use development, all aimed at improving patient outcomes.

“While we’ve made great strides in the realm of wound treatment,” Woodmansey said, “I believe there’s still substantial ground to cover in building the future direction for managing infection, exudate removal, debridement, and burn care. I look forward to collaborating with wound experts across the globe alongside NATROX®’s clinical and scientific leaders to forge new pathways in our approach to advanced wound care.”

Woodmansey comes to NATROX® after having served in various clinical and healthcare leadership roles over the past 20 years. Most recently she was Medical Affairs Manager, leading the omnichannel education content for Antivirals, at Pfizer UK. Previously she worked for Smith & Nephew in multiple roles including Clinical Strategy Director and Lead Microbiologist for R&D in their Advanced Wound Care Division using scientific and clinical evidence to frame critical issues and shape consensus.

As Clinical Specialist EMEA, Lisa Thomas will provide support and guidance to healthcare providers as the company expands its distribution into Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Thomas will be responsible for building strategic partnerships with medical facilities and promoting an understanding of advanced wound care therapies.

“From my many years as a nurse, I’m aware of the difficult challenges chronic wounds present for clinicians, patients, and their families,” said Thomas. “I joined the NATROX® team because I’m inspired by the company’s innovations in improving healing and quality of life for people with serious wounds.”

Thomas brings over 29 years of nursing experience with the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK to the position, including 20 years as a practice nurse with special interests in diabetes and wound care. For the past 10 years, she has served as a Clinical Nurse Advisor within the pharmaceutical and medical device industries.

“We’re delighted that Dr. Emma Woodmansey and Lisa Thomas have chosen to bring their many decades of clinical experience to NATROX®,” said Craig Kennedy, CEO. “Dr. Woodmansey has an exceptional background in the fields of microbiology, infection, and advanced wound care. We’re confident she’ll make valuable contributions to our company’s chief objective – helping patients with wounds regain their lives as quickly as possible.”

Kennedy added, “With our expansion into new countries, Lisa will be able to get our products to patients who otherwise faced months, and possibly years, of suffering. Finally, those patients will have access to therapeutic solutions that work seamlessly across the care continuum and that can transform their lives.”

Woodmansey and Thomas join a handpicked team of world-class, wound-care clinicians at NATROX®, according to Kennedy. “Each member brings a wealth of experience and industry knowledge, honed through years of pioneering research and clinical practice. By pooling their collective expertise, the clinical team will spearhead the development and refinement of ground-breaking healing technologies, setting new benchmarks in the field of patient-centered wound care.”
