Inotec AMD Limited announces the opening of its first office in the US

Cambridge based Inotec AMD Limited is pleased to announce the opening of its first office in the US.

Located in Hickory, North Carolina, the new office will be home to the recently established Inotec AMD Inc. US subsidiary, supporting the company’s business growth strategy in the US market as outlined by Craig Kennedy, Inotec AMD Limited’s CEO.

Mr Kennedy commented that “the opening of the new US operation is a significant step forward for Inotec AMD. Having a local US base enables Inotec AMD to bring its products closer to customers in the region and paves the way for penetration into the one of the fastest growing woundcare markets. We plan to expand our commitment to the US market, adding more resources to our US office over time."

Inotec AMD is a maker of mobile medical devices designed to heal chronic, hypoxic wounds that afflict millions of sufferers around the world every year. The global wound-care spend is predicted to cost more than $50 billion per year, driven in part by changing life styles and ageing populations in many countries. There are some 4221 million diabetes sufferers around the world, some 63 million of whom are likely to develop a lower limb ulcer. As more than 90% of chronic wounds suffer from a lack of oxygen, the launch of NATROX® Oxygen Wound Therapy addresses this serious concern with a simple, cost-effective application which treats a broad spectrum of chronic wounds.

NATROX® Oxygen Wound Therapy is an innovative, simple and easy-to-use device that has been clinically proven to deliver 98% pure humidified oxygen direct to the wound bed.
