Workshop on the Role of Oxygen in Wound Healing and the NATROX® Oxygen Wound Therapy

On Tuesday 27th June 2018, Inotec AMD and Wounds UK hosted a very exciting and content-rich workshop on the role of oxygen in wound healing and the Inotec’s NATROX® Oxygen Wound Therapy.

The very well-attended workshop featured fantastic speakers, including Dr. Paul Chadwick, National Clinical Director College of Podiatry, Jane Clark, Global Marketing Director at Inotec AMD, Georgina Gethin, Head of Nursing Senior Lecturer School of Nursing & Midwifery at NUI Galway, Dr. Joanne McCardle, Consultant Podiatrist, and Julie Stanton, Associate Clinical Director Healogics UK.

Oxygen is critical to many of the processes of wound healing, and the presence of a wound increases the body’s need for oxygen. A lack of oxygen to the wound can result in delayed healing, further complications, and increase susceptibility to infection. Recent advances in topical oxygen therapy have made this a more viable treatment in practice and have demonstrated positive results for wound healing and patient outcomes.

A very appreciative audience was introduced to case examples involving NATROX® Oxygen Wound Therapy applied to diabetic foot ulcers and other wounds which suggest the positive impact of NATROX® Oxygen Wound Therapy in treating complex and chronic wounds.

NATROX® Oxygen Wound Therapy is an innovative, simple and easy-to-use device that has been clinically proven to deliver 98% pure humidified oxygen direct to the chronic wound bed.

The workshop video will be soon available for everyone to watch.
