Inotec AMD Announces New Director of Human Resources to Support Global Team
Sandy Fliri-Marx brings 20 years international expertise to advance corporate expansion plans
[Cambridge, UK – 1 June 2021] – Inotec AMD, Ltd. announces Sandy Fliri-Marx as its new Human Resources (HR) Director who will work from the global headquarters in Cambridge starting 1 June. Having worked in Senior HR Management for leading biotechnology companies, Fliri-Marx has developed successful HR strategies for organizations of varying sizes with locations across the globe. The role is pivotal for Inotec, a young, growing company currently expanding its workforce to meet increased manufacturing demands.
Fliri-Marx brings over twenty years HR experience with more than half her career spent in leading biotech firms such as Amgen, Abcam, and Novartis. Additionally, she serves as a volunteer at Form the Future connecting young people with career possibilities, and as a volunteer at The Hospice Biographers, a nationwide charity providing terminally ill patients a chance to record their life story.
With Fliri-Marx’s deep interest in health care on both a professional and personal level, the move to Inotec is a natural next step. The company manufactures an innovative, portable medical device that helps patients suffering chronic wounds to heal using the natural properties of oxygen. Fliri-Marx will be responsible for developing the HR strategies and systems, managing employee relations, and recruiting and onboarding new staff. The full-time HR position is new for the medical device manufacturer who recently secured a Series-C investment round earlier this year and is positioning itself to continue adding staff to its offices in the UK, USA, and Malaysia.
“Until now, we didn’t have a dedicated internal HR department,” said Craig Kennedy, CEO of Inotec. “Our team has been small but lean, and we were primarily focused on product development.” However, with production and sales ramping up, the company elected to add this key leadership role to further develop its people strategy and create an inspiring environment of growth opportunities.
“Having a world-class HR Director like Sandy onboard means Inotec will be poised to continue its growth trajectory to become the market leader in topical oxygen wound therapy,” Kennedy said. “It’s an exciting time for our company, and we’re proud Sandy will be part of our team.”
